Shachar Boublil, a graduate student of professor Chantal Pouliot, was selected to take part in a unique international conference on “General Relativity as a Challenge for Physics Education” at the Physikzentrum Bad Honnef which is run by the German Physics Society. Albert Einstein was the President of this Society from 1916-1918. This one week seminar and conference assembled a very special group of physicists from around the world to discuss the need for change in how we learn and teach physics at the high school and undergraduate level. It focuses on the need to integrate Einstein theories and modern physics in school’s curriculum. Shachar is now completing his Masters in Physics Education at Laval University.
